Sparrow (Wróbel)

In this delightful movie the local postman, played by Jacek Borusiński, is a loner who has strict routines, likes to play football (soccer), and reads the encyclopedia for pleasure. He’s a bachelor and seems to like it that way. Turning forty he takes refuge in a life that is extremely well organized until, one day, everything changes. Suddenly, he has a new neighbor, Marzenka, who takes an interest in him, and his routines begin to give way before her incursion. In effect, whatever was that possessed him before Marzenka, is slowly pushed out of his life to make way for the new experience she brings. As they say, he must learn to make lemonade when life gives him lemons. The film is a pleasure from beginning to end.
