Directed by Maciej Sobieszczański, Brother is a raw coming-of-age drama centered on 14-year-old Dawid and his younger brother Michał. Living in poverty and shadowed by their imprisoned father, the boys rely on each other for survival and emotional grounding. Their bond—marked by tenderness, conflict, and unconditional loyalty—forms the emotional core of the film.

Shot with intimate handheld camerawork, Brother captures the confusion and pressure of adolescence in a world shaped by violence and broken promises. Featuring striking performances by debut actors Filip Wiłkomirski and Tytus Szymczuk, the film was recognized with the Ecumenical Jury Prize at the Warsaw International Film Festival.
