Save the Dates! The 4th Annual KF Washington DC Polish Film Festival Returns April 1–4, 2027

We are thrilled to announce the 4th Annual KF Washington DC Polish Film Festival, taking place April 1–4, 2027, at Landmarks’ Bethesda Row Cinema in Bethesda, Maryland!

Join us for four exciting days celebrating the best of contemporary Polish cinema, featuring the latest and most acclaimed films from Poland, inspiring conversations, and special encounters with some of the most exciting voices in Polish filmmaking.

A Special Opening Night

The festival will officially open on Thursday, April 1, 2027, at Landmarks’ Bethesda Row Cinema. We are honored to welcome our very special guest, Bill Kramer, CEO of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, alongside several prominent filmmakers and actors from Poland.

Traditionally, on opening night, we host an exclusive celebration of Polish cinema for Festival Pass holders and special guests, bringing together filmmakers, film enthusiasts, and members of the Washington, DC, community.

The Best of Polish Cinema

The festival’s 2027 selection will draw from the latest achievements of the Polish film industry, including standout titles from the 51st Polish Film Festival in Gdynia, held in September 2026.

Among this year’s major award winners is Through the Wall, directed by Maciej Sobieszczański, recipient of the prestigious Golden Lions for Best Film.

Other notable award-winning titles include:

  • Silver Lions: Tell Me What You Feel, directed by Łukasz Ronduda

  • Sapphire Lions: The Dark Hour, directed by Filip Bojarski

  • Audience Award: Good Boy, directed by Jan Komasa

  • Platinum Lions: Awarded to Halina Prugar-Ketling for lifetime achievement

The 2027 KF Washington DC Polish Film Festival will showcase a selection of contemporary Polish films that explore powerful stories, distinctive perspectives, and the richness of Poland’s cinematic imagination.

Four Days of Film, Conversation, and Discovery

All screenings will take place at Landmarks’ Bethesda Row Cinema in Bethesda, Maryland. All films will be presented in Polish with English subtitles.

Beyond the screen, audiences can look forward to engaging Q&A sessions, inspiring conversations, and special opportunities to meet acclaimed Polish filmmakers and learn more about the stories behind their films.
